Home shipping
Since you can't drive home from SwedenVolvo has included shipping. In fact, from Gothenburg it is free. From other drop-off points, you only pay to transport your Volvo to port.
Arrival
When you land in Gothenburg, Sweden, we will be there to pick you up and drive you to your hotel. The next morning, we will take you to the Volvo Factory Delivery Center to be united with your custom made Volvo.
Lunch
Enjoy a seat inside the Factory Delivery Center’s restaurant and savor the wonder of Swedish culture with a gourmet lunch prepared for you before you start the exclusive factory tour experience.
Factory tour

"Our experience with Volvo’s Overseas Delivery Program was fantastic. We received great seating on our flights with SAS to Gothenburg and back home. Upon arrival in Gothenburg, Volvo transported us to our hotel where we were treated to a multi-course dinner, and breakfast the following morning. We were then escorted to the Volvo Factory where we got to meet our new XC-40. It was presented to us behind a large window in a beautiful showroom. We were given a complete briefing about the car, and were then invited to a very nice lunch and given a very interesting tour of the factory.
Afterwards we took off in our new car for an excursion through Scandinavia. Volvo had outfitted our car with international license plates, the GPS was set for Scandinavia (which was extremely helpful) and the vehicle gauges were set to metric units to aid our driving under European requirements (and were easily set back to American standards). We had an absolutely awesome trip. Both the XC-40 and the sights and experience of Scandinavia exceeded our expectations.
When we eventually returned the car to the factory, Volvo placed it on a boat for transport to the American dealership we dealt with. We again received our car, from the dealer this time, approximately one month later. It had been thoroughly cleaned and was in pristine condition.
